The internet being what it is, we have not shown any addresses, telephone numbers or e-mail addresses on this page - however, they can be supplied to bona-fide enquirers.
Please use the form below for any initial contact with the Society.
General enquiries will be dealt with by e-mail if possible, so please make sure you spell your e-mail address correctly (if you have one).
We would welcome any feedback on this website, as it is intended that the site will change regularly - please let us know what you like or don't like about it, so that it can be improved. We would also be very interested to have your views on what the future additions to the site should include - a few possibilities are listed on the Future Plans page, but any other ideas would be gratefully received.
If you want to purchase any of our publications, or order back-copies of the newsletter, or join the Society, fill in the form, giving your details, and we will let you know where to send your written request. (At the moment, regretfully we cannot accept orders over the internet, but we are working on it!)
If you would like to contribute an article for our newsletter or this web-site, let me know and I'll give you an e-mail or postal address where you can send it.
If you would like to send us anything of historical value, for use in the Heritage Centre, for example, let us know using the form and we will contact you.
Please note that we are a local history society, not a family history society. Though there are many links between the two areas, it is unlikely that we will be able to help you with an enquiry which is purely genealogical (unless your family was a particularly well-known one).
All correspondence will be acknowledged, but please bear with us!
Any submitted information regarding the history of the area will be considered for publication - if you do not want such items to be published, please let us know. Any items published will be acknowledged to the author.
