'Follow the Master'
"Follow the Master: A History of Heanor Grammar School, 1893 - 1976" is the definitive account of the history of a well-known institution in the town. Written after 2½ years research, by this site's webmaster, Robert M. Mee, the history was first promised 34 years ago, in the last edition of the school magazine, The Heanorian. Although it is over thirty years since the school closed, it is still well-remembered, and the buildings of 1912, along with subsequent extensions, still stand as part of the South East Derbyshire College.
