Joining the Heanor and District Local History Society is not costly - we're not here to make a profit!

The more members we have, the greater the opportunity to preserve our past and our heritage for future generations, and the more influence we have as a campaigning body.

Membership allows you free entry to our meetings.

Trips are often offered at a reduced price to members compared to non-members.

And you receive a copy of the Society’s newsletter which is published nine times a year (September to May).

Membership runs from September each year - Members joining later in the year will be given the whole year’s newsletters.

The Chairman's address to the audience before the evening's presentation.  Attendance at our meetings is normally between 80 to 150 members and guests.

There is always a display of old newsletters available, and often displays of other items. A raffle is held, which enables us to charge no entrance fee for members.

Non-members are always welcome, from whom we invite a donation (minimum of 50p is suggested).
