Joining the Heanor and District Local History Society is not
costly - we're not here to make a profit!
The more members we have, the greater the opportunity to
preserve our past and our heritage for future generations, and the more
influence we have as a campaigning body.
|
Membership allows you free entry to our
meetings. Trips are
often offered at a reduced price to members compared to non-members.
And you receive a copy of the Society’s
newsletter which is published eight times a year (September to April).
(From September 2007, this will be increased to nine newsletters a year,
September to May.) |
 |
Membership runs from September each year - Members joining
later in the year will be given the whole year’s newsletters.
|

The Chairman's address to the audience before the
evening's presentation. Attendance at our meetings is normally
between 80 to 150 members and guests.
There is always a display of old newsletters available,
and often displays of other items. A raffle is held, which enables us to
charge no entrance fee for members.
Non-members are always
welcome, from whom we ask a minimum donation of 50p.
