Society holds its meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Wilmot Street
Community Centre. Meetings start at 7.30pm. All our meetings are very well attended, and on occasions can be
standing-room only - especially if the subject is particularly "local" in its nature, or if
it is a subject that has mass appeal. We would recommend that you don't leave it
to the last minute to arrive.
To get to the
Wilmot Street Community Centre, in the centre of Heanor, turn onto Wilmot Street
side of the Market Place , directly opposite the Market Hotel;
after passing the first junction - with Mundy Street - there is a car park on
your right, and the Community Centre is adjacent to that. For those of you with
'Sat Nav', the postcode is DE75 7EF. Please be
aware that the car park next to the Centre is now Pay and Display, even
in the evening!
You don't have to be a member of the Society to attend our meetings -
are always welcome.
Non-members are invited to contribute a donation
to the Society at their discretion.
