2026/7 Programme

If you’ve not seen it yet, our programme for the new season starting in September is now available. Go to the Programme page to see full details.

The usual mixed bag of subjects – something for everyone. Some very local talks (An A to Z in September, two short talks in January on the Triptych at Heanor Grammar School and Tag Hill, plus a trip down the Nottingham Canal in February). Then we have topics that are nearby but not in Heanor itself, looking at the Strutts of Belper in May, Elvaston Castle in April, and the Sherwood Foresters in November. And our more general topics (fortune-telling in October, Christmas traditions in December, and the 1927 General Strike in March) all look fascinating.

So come and join us. As always, admission is free, but if you do become a member you get a monthly copy of our award winning newsletter – what’s not to like?
